As you know, Gateway does not have updated drivers or BIOS files for this computer. However, after careful searching of others in this community with the same problem (keyboard not working on various brands of computers after Windows 10 upgrade) I decided to try the simplest troubleshooting method I read about.

I simply shut down Windows and turned the computer off. I then unplugged the computer from the wall outlet and left it unplugged for approximately 2 minutes. After plugging it back in and starting Windows 10, the keyboard miraculously now works!

No new drivers or BIOS update needed. I don't want to lay blame on anyone but it seems Microsoft must have missed some clean-up procedures during the Windows 10 upgrade. Sure wish their support personnel knew about this and could pass this along to their customers.
