What is the most current ovi maps version for Nokia 5230? I have ovi_maps_installer_3.06_11wk7_b11_s60_5.0_nocs_beta and it is incredibly slow locating a position on the GPS. I don't use a data plan so I need to know where I can download the current version to my PC. The GPS on both my son's and wife's 5230 seems to snap to position in seconds. I looked back in the forum discussions and found that I had done the test comparing 3.30 with 3.06 myself in the past using four identical phones. I switched my phone to the 3.03 version. Nokia makes this difficult to do. Without the transit routes, or whatever else hogs resources in 3.06, the phone locks faster using the 3.03 version.

I also swapped the SIM card and memory card with my son's phone. This doesn't produce a perfect swap like I thought it would. Apparently the maps version is located in a non-volatile phone memory. I didn't go to the trouble of resetting map versions. The downside was that it cut the communication between the phone and the memory card and I ultimately had to reload the maps (not the map version) on my phone. That's a lot of data.
