/ / CN Non-Slewing Mobile Crane Courses CN Non-Slewing Mobile Crane Courses Duration: 5 days Price: $950 + WorkSafe Fee Course Dates: On Request Crane Licence Training in Perth, WA Course Overview This face-to-face course provides students with the skills and knowledge to safely operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity). The course includes identifying weights of loads, conducting pre-start and post-start operational checks and mobilising loads. On successful completion, students can apply for a high risk work licence or apply to have new classes added to their high risk work licence through WorkSafe WA. Unit of Competency • TLILIC3006 Licence to Operate a Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (Greater than 3 Tonnes Capacity). Learning Outcomes By the end of this course students will be able to: • Record and maintain information regarding crane operations • Identify and control hazards associated with operating a crane • Communicate effectively via two-way radio, hand signals, whistles and organisational documentation • Determine the weight of a load to be lifted • Interpret the load chart • Conduct a lift using the non-slewing mobile crane. Course Entry Requirements • 18 years of age Preferred, but not essential: • A (verifiable) Statement of Attainment for CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging and/or • A valid high risk work licence to perform dogging.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements • Reading skills to interpret workplace documentation • Communicate with a team using speech, hand signals and whistles • Writing skills to complete workplace forms • Numeracy skills to complete complex equations. Training • On request, 7.30 am – 4.00 pm over 5 days • Minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 students per class • Please bring your unique student identifier (USI) number, photo ID and a notebook and pens • Wear (as a minimum) steel capped boots, trousers and a t-shirt. Assessment Workforce Training Centre WA utilises the mandated assessment tool from Safe Work Australia. Assessment is a closed book assessment completed in-class and includes: • Knowledge assessment • Calculation assessment • Practical assessment. On successful completion of the course a Statement of Attainment will be issued on the day. Workforce Training Centre WA will assist students to complete the High Risk Work application and submit the application to Worksafe WA for processing on their behalf.
